The eponymous protagonist played by Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino is anything but eponymous and it’s time writers accepted the fact they will only be able to use that word when describing self-titled debuts and Mr. Ed the Talking Horse.

Anyhizzles, if Walt saw someone wasting everybody’s time by considering suicide, he’d walk up to the guy, shake his hand, and throw him off the bridge – which is exactly what 66-year-old Lai Jiansheng did.
PS: What’s with all these Boomer news sources being too pussy to get pictures? The whole reason we had Shattered Glass was The New Republic ignored their secretary and decided pictures were a waste of time. Can you not get on the horn to China and buy some of their fucking photographs? What does Lai look like? Do your fucking job you old shitstains.

YO YO YO…ur ghey.

Hey Kyle, it’s clear you understand what the word eponymous means, but where does this come from? Really, I’m curious.
An eponym is the name of a person, whether real or fictitious, after which a particular place, tribe, era, discovery, or other item is named or thought to be named. One who is referred to as eponymous is someone that gives their name to something, e.g. Julian, the eponymous owner of the famous restaurant Julian’s Castle. Something eponymous is named after a particular person, e.g. Julian’s eponymous restaurant. In contemporary English, the term eponymous is often used to mean self-titled. An Etiological Myth is a “reverse eponym” in the sense that a legendary character is invented in order to explain a term.
plenty more where that came from!
yes kyle, i said i knew you KNEW what eponymous means, and so do i. I just dont get the context of going off on a rant about it. Who ever said that Clint was the eponymous star of Gran Torino – anyone? Im just saying, your rant makes sense, but there’s no context, or maybe there is but its just really eclectic.
Hey are you the guitar player from MArs Volta?
fuk u kyle
