The executives at Fox thought it hit a little too close to home so they rushed the release of it, gave it almost no time in the theaters, and then gave it the shittieest dvd release ever (no bonus stuff, they sank as little money into it as possible) It still stands on it's own (it's like WALL*E for grownups) but if the studio had given Mike Judge some more money and time, it would've been absolutely perfect. I work in a video store and the only people that don't like it or say it was stupid or didn't understand it are all the people that this movie is making fun of.
