Satanists, belonging to the Church of Satan, wouldn't be doing "satan's work" because they believe in god and satan only as symbols, not as actual beings. Moreover, they believe in these two symbols as aspects of themselves, i.e. everyman his own god. However, you were right about the revenge aspect.
