I always considered myself the king of total trash. Some of the worst sleaze ever filmed, ever written, ever performed has been burned into my retinas for good or for worse. My fascination started to escalate out of control, to the point where I started looking for some genuine snuff. I pored over the Internet for days; I even went to the library and read a whole book about the history of snuff. My research turned up some Israeli journalist who went undercover and managed to infiltrate a snuff racket somewhere in Eastern Europe (so he claims in the book Gods of Death). I couldn’t help being a bit skeptical because all of my other evidence pointed to the contrary, that no “authentic” snuff movie had ever been made. Plenty of death has been captured on film (see Bud Dwyer’s final public speech where he blows his head off as cameras roll) but even more fictitious pictures have sparked controversy as alleged snuff films. Classics such as Cannibal Holocaust and Snuff as well as the more obscure Guinea Pig series or August Underground’s Mordum are all fakes that managed to fool a lot of people and land their directors in a bit of trouble. I was about to give up my search when my buddy Brian arrived that fateful Saturday night.
Brian is my go to guy for all things fucked up. Once we got drunk and watched Faces of Death and lately he’s been playing the hit video game simulation, Rape Play. That night we were chewing the fat and smoking weed in my Dodge, when Brian suddenly told me he had a movie to show me. I had recently shown him what I used to consider the most awful viral video ever made, One Guy, One Cup. Brian said his younger brother had found something that topped it. So we Googled Three Guys, One Hammer, the title of this aforementioned nasty. Brian said he hadn’t made it through his first attempt at watching, but he would try to finish it this time. I won’t bore you with the particulars, but the video is a one shot take on hand held video camera somewhere deep in the Russian woods. Three teenagers kidnap a man and bring him into the brush. They proceed to turn the guy’s face into pulp swinging a sack with a hammer in it. The youths chuckle as they repeatedly stab their victim in the gut with a Phillips head screwdriver. After an eye gouge the poor fellow gets his skull finally smashed in with the big mallet that was in the sack. So these fucking kids premeditated and filmed a murder for which they were allegedly arrested. Rumor has it that the kids filmed a few DOZEN other such snuff flicks, Three Guys, One Hammer being the first to leak. This video is beyond safe for work, it’s something that probably shouldn’t be watched. The worst part is how thrilled the killers get; their incessant laughter and jokes are inhuman. When it was all over, Brian and I were speechless. Still stoned, we left the computer to go watch The Monster Squad and try cheering up. Fat chance.
My quest has come to an end and I’m not quite sure how to feel. I’m happy I saw the footage but deeply disturbed that it even exists. Are we literally desensitized to the point where we’re yawning if our faces aren’t covered in warm blood? The big, bad Internet has changed the way we see death and certainly made it much easier to obtain. Something way worse than Three Guys, One Hammer is bound to show up in our lifetime, sooner than later. Or maybe in the future shit will get all Running Man, which would be pretty sweet, I must admit. Until then I think I’ll stick with the scripted stuff. Yea 3 Guys, 1 Hammer is pretty awful. I usually find a way to enjoy fucked up shit, but that just left me wanting to go to Russia and personally beat those little bitches. How much balls does it take to kidnap and murder an old man, really? Losers. Russia fucking sucks. Tetris was not worth it.

Despite what the typical hand-wringing womyn’s studies professorperson or screeching Evangelical bible thumper might try to lead you to believe about how “we become the violence we see” or whatever, as a whole we are becoming a better society. Remember that just a few short centuries ago this kind of thing was the foundation that empires were built on.

Kinda makes you think about all the murders that happen everyday that aren’t recorded
pingpong, the vast, vast, vast majority of murders are by people who know each other. We don’t really flinch when a wife kills her abusive husband, or even when a husband kills his wife for the insurance money. We may feel bad, but we’re used to it and can understand (if not empathize with) the motives behind the act.
Random, “pleasure” killings like the ones committed by those stupid little spoiled russian boys are pretty rare.

i saw a snuff video one time where all you see is a boot on some russian soldiers head and a knife going into his neck and filleting it straight across. i’m not sure how they would have faked that one…but i saw it when i was 12 and i can’t help but wonder the impact it had on me. when i think about it the image is still pretty vivid in my mind. i hope i don’t end up watching this video.

There is a lot of ugliness on the internet. I Had a competition with some friends to outdo the other with some weird shit on the internet. It started all funny with weird Japanese porn and ended in these sick fuckers snuff videos. I honestly spent a week without sleep and couldn’t get the image of a guy getting his head cut off out of my head. After 8 years it still haunts me. Long story short I lost the challenge.

The man whose brutal murder is recorded in the leaked video was identified as Sergei Yatzenko from the village of Taromskoye. His murder took place on July 12, 2007, and his body was found on July 16.
Yatzenko was 48 years old. He had recently been forced into retirement due to a cancer tumor in his throat. The treatment left him unable to speak for some time, but Yatzenko was unhappy with being unable to work and continued to find odd jobs around the village. He took on small construction projects, fixed cars, weaved baskets, and cooked for his family. He was beginning to regain his voice by the time of the murder. Yatzenko was married and had two sons and one grandchild. He also had a disabled mother whom he looked after.

this video was quite hard to watch indeed, but even worse to hear, i’d say. watching them poke the guy’s abdomen with a screwdriver, you can tell they are just experimenting, like stupid kids or some animals. i can relate to that.
It wasn’t very long ago that entire townships would still gather in the square to watch public executions. Beheadings, hangings, and much worse. France only stopped using the guillotine (in public) in 1939.
So, no, we are not becoming more desensitized. The amount of disgust and outrage shown here, in a Street Carnage forum of all places, shows that we are indeed sensitive to this kind of trash.

i watched this a couple months ago and still can’t get it out of my head. i’m the same as we all are; i want to be entertained so badly i don’t quite know what is good for me. infinite jest, etc. i’m not some moralizing nancy.
that said, this video is easily the worst i have ever seen and i still regret watching it. i will no longer seek out anything of the sort on the internet. game over. all of these comments and indeed any attention this video receives at all should not be construed as reasons to watch it. three boys happily torturing an old man in the woods – not worth your curiosity.

I do not regret watching this video because it was of my own free will as it was all of yours so if you have i tin mind that you want to watch it not for enjoyment but curiosity then why would you regret it? its not like you can say “it was way worse than what i expected” gimme a break you cant tell me that just the fucking thought of an old man getting beat with a fuckin hammer isnt that bad to begin with? this world is fucked and the only thing i can think of before and after watching this evil is “that could be me…even worse family or lovers” i dont care the pleasure some sick fuckers get out of killing someone brutally that doesnt make it alright and it sure is hell isnt like you have diplomatic immunity so the police cant touch you no thats not the case one bit so i hope that our prison systems grow the balls to fill a sack full of hammers and beat these guys to death with them and poke there eyes out with a scewdriver thats what they deserve entirely and nothing more furthermore it isnt something to watch just for curiosity i watched to to show someone i know how cruel this world can really be behind the scenes he needed a reality check if it wasnt for that reason i would have never watched it in the first place and noone can really say that they didnt know what it was about because lets face it the internet streams and forums that we all look onto tells about these things the day after so its not like you didnt know what is going to happen in this video and yes i can stomach this video but when the truth of it being real sets into your brain you just dont want to watch it anymore
