Remember that post from photographer Paul K a few months ago titled “Every Day Was Overcast” about the creepshow who was growing up in the swamps and strip malls of South Florida? Well, him and his buddy Justin are curating a show by the same title at Ksubi tonight.

Remember that post from photographer Paul K a few months ago titled “Every Day Was Overcast” about the creepshow who was growing up in the swamps and strip malls of South Florida? Well, him and his buddy Justin are curating a show by the same title at Ksubi tonight. It’s a continuation of the work from that post and promises to feature more rad / bummer / horny photos and paintings that ruminate on the pair’s formative years in the great expanse of pre-fab housing and faux luxury getaways that is the South-East tip of this country. Also, the exhibit is sponsored by PBR. So go, see rad shit, drink free beer, and get weird!

This guys work is fucking amazing and if i was anywhere near this exhibition i would definately go.

Sometimes this small-town backwoods stuff is better than any kid from new yorks stuff.

  2. hagenshape says:

that was one of the best articles you guys have ever posted, maybe another covering the show? Wish I could be there!

  3. NippleDick says:

gosh, nothing is more ‘real’ than backwoods/hick people goin through the ‘daily grind’. it really puts my life ‘into perspective’ and helps me realize that although i am someone who lives in an ‘urban area’ and is exposed to ‘culture’, sometimes it just takes a bunch of sad, sorry inbreds to remind me of what ‘authenticity’ really means

cant wait for the show, hope there will be some likemindeds there, so we can make a real ‘connection’ over some free brewskis

  4. betty dangles says:

    show will be covered

  5. Brian says:

Easy NippleDick. They’re just cool photos.

  6. fuck white justin says:

what about work set in another place and time implies it’s trying to make a point about “authenticity” or to put your life “in perspective”? If that’s the case I’m ditching all my Golden Girls DVD’s… Did you even look at the work NippleDick?

  7. lol says:

paul k’s photos are mad sick but justin warsdale’s art fucking sucks. they didn’t even grow up together, prolly added justin in as a pity thing
