Just released: new music video for Justice’s remix of “Let Love Rule” by Lenny Kravitz, directed by Keith Schofield. This is all happening as Lenny celebrates the 20th anniversary of “Let Love Rule” by playing the whole thing live a bunch of times and appearing on Jimmy Fallon to play “Mr. Cab Driver” with the Roots. Who knew so many people were down with the mom jeans of Hendrix impersonators?
For a Tarantino-esque beginning with a bullet through the head it’s really weird to watch a video go from “lols badasses bad at acting” to “lols …I’m watching Ghost World///Juno on some too-cool-to-be-fazed-happy-go-lucky type shit now?”
It was cute and fun but at the end I kind of wanted to punch the guy in the face. Or maybe I just have unsolved anger issues. Or maybe because the song is called “Let Love Rule” and the guy ditches some broad to go home to an empty bed. What a luuhhh-hooooser.
The Bloody Beetroots can remix an All American Rejects song and make it awesome. Sadly, Justice can’t do that for Lenny Kravitz.
