@shankley. you’re quite right. and it’s done all the time by the cia; publicize stories that are absolutely bonkers to obfuscate the real shit that they are up to.

but no one can deny my main point—the control of the flow of money in western countries is in the hands of centralized banks that are privately owned. sure, a lot of the money that was lost was speculative, but where is the ‘real’ currency right now? who has the power to print that currency?
who is handing out hundreds of billions of YOUR fucking money right now in the u s of a? did you have a say in any of it?

here’s a tip, if the conspiracy is simple enough that you can understand, explain, and document it, the conspirators are not doing a very good job. conspiracy theorists should spend more time actually resolving real issues instead of inventing issues about which to bitch and do nothing about. i’m sure the rockefellers give two shits about the congo, why not give them a hand.

security services certainly infiltrate progressive social movements, but this is larger to undermine them. Not to turn them into a tool for brainwashing men into being weak and ineffectual so they can’t challenge power. This guys wierdo NWO theories only serve to obscure the much more obvious means by which power is exercised. If we are worried about being Brainwashed by the Rothschilds then perhaps we will forget about the patriot act. If i were so inclined i might argue that books like the one above are a conspiracy by a shadowy cabal to divert our attention from the real problems. but that would make me sound batshit crazy…

granted, the fringes of this chap’s theories are a little frayed. however, it is always, ALWAYS prudent to follow the money. and the fact is, the money of most western countries is controlled by centralized banks that are privately run.

and to the poster who claims that the current financial downturn is proof that there is no ‘invisible hand’ behind the markets, i would ask, ‘where is the money going?’ and no, i don’t believe in a cabal of evil jewish bankers. but money just doesn’t disappear into thin air. it must go somewhere.

finally, anyone with a long enough attention span to do some research knows that the security services of western nations have made a point of infiltrating so-called progressive movements. they did it with the drug culture in the sixties, they did it with WTO protesters. i certainly don’t agree with this writers bizarre socio-sexual ideas, but to pretend that the women’s movement would somehow be exempt from infiltration betrays a rather obvious naivete.
