This season they seem to be shifting from drug smugglers to kidnappings. Thank fucking God. I couldn’t take those people in their early 20s saying, “We were past the point of no return.” You’re never past the point of no return buttwipes! It’s so exhausting to see pussies thrown to the wolves. Especially when the TV can’t hear you yell. Hey kids, here’s a crazy idea, don’t commit a felony that will ruin your life just to make a summer’s worth of “Working at McDonald’s” money. Ten thousand dollars is not a lot of money. And to the missionaries in the 3rd World getting kidnapped: The bible was written before they knew there were other cultures. They don’t INCLUDE them. You don’t have to go to the Phillippines to rescue people from hell because there’s no such thing as hell. Please stop. You’re making my TV experience Ulcer Central.

Locked Up Abroad: Kidnapped in the Philippines
Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT

Video “Kidnapped by Terrorists” – Hopes for an escape are dashed when a midnight interrogation turns into an out-of-body experience.

Video “Terror in the Jungle” – A missionary travels to the Phillippines to reclaim his identity; his captors hide him in the jungle to claim his ransom.

Video “Missionary Hostage” – A missionary tries to put his life back together through good works abroad, but a terrorist group has other plans.

UPDATE: We finally united David Choe with the people who do this show and they both said, “What are you talking about? We already spoke.” Turns out they approached David very early on in the game, right after he got back from his Tokyo prison and he said “Fuck no.” Now that he’s recovered from the whole experience we are trying to reunite the two. Cross your fingers!

    Best show on Travel Channel.

  2. Wicked Awesome says:

Reenactments ruin it for me, they should have video taped all the torture as it happened.
Something about shitty actors, I think I recognize them from Pepcid commercials.

  3. consuala says:

Actually the original bible (old testament) was written with knowledge and many mentions of other peoples/cultures/religions.
It’s in the new testament that they need to “spread the word” or whateveer

    Entertaining show nonetheless.

People didn’t know shit about things like global cooling 3000 years ago. duh. most people today know much more than plato and aristotle even, which is sad.

  7. ??? says:

Isn’t it Banged up Abroad?? Whatever… doesn’t matter. My favourite is the one where the 2 gingers end up in a Venezuelan prison after attempting to smuggle drugs onto an airplane. They show actual footage of them in prison and playing Russian roulette. Fucked.
